Dear Devotees, Patrons, and Members of the Toronto Kalibari
It has understandably been a very trying time for all of us over the past 12 months. Coping with the hardships in your professional and personal lives, we on behalf of the Toronto Kalibari pray for your well being and mental stability during these unprecedented times.
I implore all of you to continue looking forward, better days are on the horizon. But we must also not lose sight that our actions in this moment, may detrimentally impact the health and safety of those around us. Let’s all continue to be vigilant and pray to Maa Kali that better days be upon us sooner rather than later.
Despite all these hardships thrown your way, you have continued to support our temple this past year for which we are grateful. Only because of your generous donations and support, we were able to hold some level of normalcy and successfully conduct Durga Puja festivities, Lakshmi Puja, Kali Puja / Sri Sri Shyama Puja, Kalpataru Utsav, etc., virtually. We understand the experience is different, but it remains integral that our cultural values and traditions are not forgotten during the times we need it most. On behalf of the Board of Directors, I can assure we will continue to promote and showcase our culture and provide that level of support and comfort that Maa Kali expects from us during these very difficult times.
We reach out to you humbly, asking for your continued support to our beloved Toronto Kalibari, by donating as much as you comfortably can. This money will be used to ensure the temple continues to meet its financial obligations, mainly in the form of mortgage, insurance, and utility payments. Your generous donations are vital, as it preserves a vital cultural asset to the community. We need the support and benevolence of our members/ patrons/well-wishers to help reach our financial commitments to ensure we continue to provide the support and compassion to our community at large.
